READER REPORT: Cemetery Hell Hounds

Here's something to keep in mind while you're out trick-or-treating near the cemetery this Halloween. Do you remember that terrifying scene from the original The Omen film when Damien's father and the photographer go into the cemetery to dig up the child's grave and are attacked by the hell hounds? Well, Danielle reports a similar experience in a graveyard in Iowa:

"This happened on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 8:15 p.m.," Danielle says. "My friend Sarah and I were walking with my dog Dasiy (a Jack Russel terrier) toward the graveyard. As we did, a strange wind blew past us and my dog growled and bared her teeth. We?continued?to walk, and as soon as we entered the graveyard, it felt like someone was watching us. We turned and saw two big dogs with big glowing?red eyes and baring their teeth at us. Now they seem to stalk us all the time."

Pere Lachaise Cemetery Ghost

What could be creepier for Halloween than a real ghost in a cemetery crypt? We don't know if this is a real ghost or not, but Natalie F. photographed something peculiar. "I took this photo two years ago in the Pere Lachaise Cemetery in Paris," she says. "I only noticed this when I was going through the photos on my computer after uploading them. Spirit photography? It looks to me like a skeletal head and upper body."

Best Ghost Video: Colonial Park Cemetery Ghost

This video was shot on December 31, 2008 in Colonial Park Cemetery, Savannah Georgia by 17-year-old Jesse Greathouse. It shows what appears to be a small child running in the distance in the cemetery. He appears gray, either due to the lighting or his clothing. He then appears to leap into a tree, then drop down and vanish. Jesse says he did not manipulate the tape in any way, and a special-effects expert says that it doesn't look like the video was faked.
