History Mystery: Ancients in America

Hellenistic style carvingThe more we explore and learn, the less we seem to know. For example, most of us grew up with the idea that Christopher Columbus discovered America. It's ridiculous, of course, by the very fact that there were already tens of thousands of people already living in North and South America, some with advanced civilizations.

What is meant by Columbus's "discovery" is that it heralded the invasion of this hemisphere by Europeans. ?Yet many archaeological discoveries suggest that we do not know the full history of others who came from the Eastern Hemisphere long before Columbus. There is evidence for the presence in the Americas of ancient Romans, Greeks, Chinese, Japanese, Hebrews -- even ancient Egyptians.

Take a look at the evidence.

Mayan Mystery Phantom

Here is a very cool picture I took at Chechen Itza of the Great Pyramid at that location. We were standing on the north side where the "stone snakes" come down: twice a year on the solstices, people gather to watch the shadow "snake" slither from the top to the bottom of the stairs. And if you stand on that side and clap your hands, you can hear this very strange, high-pitched, bird-like "ping," almost like a bullet ricochet or a bird chirp that is on fast-forward.

I was taking pictures while my family was clapping and I caught this. This is untouched and I had about 200 pictures on this camera, and this was the only one to show this form. I also checked five other cameras that my family had. Some took pictures at or very near the same time and we were standing side by side but do not show this form.

Zoom in to this picture and you can see a figure quite clearly. It looks very similar to many of the Mayan gods drawn and carved in stone. I don't know what it is. I have never seen anything before or since on that camera that makes me think it is a technical "issue" with the camera. If it is a reflection, it sure is funny; it looks like it is running on the ledge of the pyramid.

HAVE YOU SEEN THIS? DEPT.: Mystery Spherical Flare

Mystery Flare

A mysterious expanding dome of light over the ocean was videotaped at the Mauna Kea astronomical observatory in Hawaii. Some say it might have been the launch of a military test missile, others an effect of the HAARP array, and still others a UFO. What's interesting is that there was recently a similar dome of light recorded over China. Go look.

Mystery Spherical Flare

This video was recorded by the Subaru Telescope at the Mauna Kea observatory on the island of Hawaii. It shows a large spherical eruption, blast or concussive atmospheric effect in what looks like clear skies.

Review:

There have been no conclusive or verified cases for this phenomenon. Theories include:

  • The launch of a Minuteman missile, presumably from a submarine
  • Some natural but unspecified atmospheric effect
  • Volcanic activity
  • Effect of the HAARP array
  • A Telsa weapon
  • A UFO
  • A stargate (whatever that means)

Strangely, a similar dome of light was recorded over China. This one was not a quick flare, however, but lasted as long as 15 minutes, according to eyewitnesses.

Adirondack Mystery Creature video

Adirondack creature

A couple of guys were near Old Forge in New York's Adirondack Park (not too far from where I live) when they videotaped a mysterious creature. One guy thinks it's just a black bear, but another thinks it's something else -- possibly a Bigfoot. Although Bigfoot have been reported in the park (rarely), this doesn't look like a Bigfoot. But it doesn't really look like a bear either. At first it looks like it's walking on two legs, but then it more resembles a mountain gorilla. But these observations are made about a video that is quite jumpy, and we can't get a very good look at the thing. (If anyone out there is good at image stabilization, we could use your help on this one.) I can't tell what it is. Can you? Go watch the video.

Mystery Man in the Little House

I never believed I would ever tell this, but this is what happened in May, 1979 to October 1980. I lived in small south central Ohio town, and being a new dad and a caring husband I wanted my wife to be happy. When my wife found the perfect little house just on the edge of town, I said okay.

Within days, my wife complained about someone looking in the back window most nights. I blamed it on moving and being alone at night as I work at day and went to school in in the evenings. This went on for a while, and I started to think my wife had a little bit of a problem.

I had always been an avid outdoorsman and as good hunter as any. I at first never saw any signs of anything around my house that caught my eye. As the time went on, my wife became more and more convinced that someone was outside looking through the window.

One Saturday mourning in late December I got up early and thought I might go for doughnuts. We had a one-car garage and the wife always parked her car there. So I grabbed her keys to make the the trip as it had snowed the night before.

I stepped into the garage and got in the car. As I started it up, I instinctively looked in the mirror. At first I blinked my eyes to make sure I wasn't seeing things, then I looked over my shoulder I saw two large black eyes looking back at me.

My blood ran cold. I revved the car and shot out of the garage. When the car stopped, I was looking for what was there. Nothing -- until I looked on the roof of the garage. There were large footprints going over the top of the roof.

I sat there thinking, What was that? I pulled back in and ran into the house. I was out of breath when I grabbed my grandfather's 3030 off the wall and loaded it for only the second time in my life. I knew whatever that was, a .22 or a shotgun wasn't going to bother it.

Waiting for good daylight, like any man who knew how to track, I called my best friend and hunting buddy and he came straight over. When He looked at the footprints on my garage roof, he knew it was no joke.

At 7:30 in the morning we went behind my house and was astounded by the size of the tracks. We stood there looking at each other. As my friend pulled out his Thompson mag pistol he said, "We ll find 'em."

Throughout the morning we followed the tracks until we came to a clearing. There on the next road over was a little house, and the tracks led right up to the back door. Walking around the little house, I knocked with no answer. Feeling we had solved the mystery, we walked to the end of the road and called my father for a ride home.

When my dad came and picked us up, we told him what happened. He said that the man that lived at the little house worked at a local tire shop. My father said he was a quiet man and very good at what he did; he came from Germany before WW2.

In the summer of 1980, my friend and I happened to go to the tire shop to see about an alignment for his car and to look into the eyes of this guy. We got what we came for and more. Looking at each other, we knew he knew us more than we knew him.

In October of 1980, my friend called and said, "I'm coming over. We are going for a ride." As we were going I said, "Okay, what's going on?"

He said, "You'll see."

When we drove down that road I said, "I know where you're going." He stopped me in mid-sentence and said, "He died. Wait till you see this."

We got to the house and a Deputy Sheriff was standing outside -- a guy we knew. He said, "Hey, you guys want to see something?"

My friend said, "Yeah, man."

As we we went into that house, the smell was that of many wet dogs. (I know because I have raised and trained dogs all my life.) The front of the house looked normal, but the back room was something I'll never forget. The walls were lined with three-sixteenth plate carbon steel and had deep scratches all over. On one wall there was a huge log chain bolted through the next wall. At that moment I looked at my friend and said, "No way!"

"Way," he said.

The Tunguska Mystery

"I was sitting on the porch of the house at the trading station, looking north. Suddenly, in the north... the sky was split in two, and high above the forest the whole northern part of the sky appeared covered with fire. I felt a great heat, as if my shirt had caught fire. At that moment, there was a bang in the sky, and a mighty crash. I was thrown twenty feet from the porch. The earth trembled."

Dialogue from some asteroid impact movie? An excerpt from a science fiction novel? A witness to the test of a nuclear explosion? The witness is real, but the event was not the test of an atomic or nuclear device. And it certainly wasn't fiction.

This incredible event, related by this Russian witness, took place on the morning of June 30, 1908 in a remote area of Siberia called Tunguska. And exactly what happened there is still unknown. There are several theories as to what caused the great explosion in the sparsely populated forest at 62 degrees north latitude, but there is no definitive proof for any of them. And now, 100 years later, the debate about the Tunguska event continues.

DEVASTATING EFFECTS

Whatever happened, the resulting devastation was enormous. A fireball as bright as the sun was seen streaking across the sky. Observers 300 miles away heard deafening bangs. Trees were flattened in a radial pattern over an area of 850 square miles. Seismic vibrations were recorded by instruments as far away as 600 miles. Fires burned for weeks. Forty miles from ground zero, people were thrown to the ground and knocked unconscious. One man was hurled into a tree and killed. Scientists examining the area calculated that the explosion was equivalent to 40 megatons of TNT - 1,000 times the force of the atomic bomb released on Hiroshima in 1945. Yet there was no crater or any other clear evidence for what exploded.

Other, more enigmatic effects were recorded:

  • disturbances in the Earth's magnetic field
  • a local geomagnetic storm
  • a reversal of soil magnetization
  • an electromagnetic pulse, similar to what would be created by a nuclear explosion
  • aurora displays before and after the event
  • unusually bright nights seen before and after the event
  • genetic mutations in plants and animals
  • accelerated growth of plants afterward
  • radiation-like burns and deaths of exposed people.
