Paranormal Webcams

Even if you don't live in or near a haunted house, these webcams provide your chance to see a ghost - or some other paranormal apparition - with your own eyes. And if we're missing a ghost -- or otherwise paranormal -- cam, let us know about it, so we can add it to the list!

Located at Caerphilly, South East Wales in the UK, the circa 1645 Llancaiach Fawr Manor is now a terrific tourist attraction where visitors can hear about traditional customs and talk about the everyday life of ordinary people over 350 years ago. A house that old is bound to pick up a ghost or two over the years, and just in case there is one skulking about, the webcam's steady eye is there to capture it. If you see something, you can submit a report of your sighting.

Ireland's Eye
In 1912, Helena Blunden was a 16-year-old worker in an Irish linen mill who had aspirations to be an opera singer. Hurrying to get to a concert one evening, she tripped on a mop and fell over a stair railing to her death. Her spirit, they say, still haunts the mill. Her footsteps have been heard along corridors, on the stairs and in a utility room. The webcam broadcasts live from a print room on one floor of the mill. You can report a sighting if you have one. They also have an actual recording of Helena singing, which was made just three months before her death. You can hear her singing "Pie Jesu" here.

Willard Library Ghost Cams

Willard Library
The Willard Library in Evansville, Indiana, they say, is haunted by "the Gray Lady." The apparition was first seen in 1937 when the library's janitor caught a glimpse of the veiled spectre in the basement. Since then, several other staff members have seen the ghost, smelled the scent of her perfume, and on numerous occasions turned off faucets that the spirit had turned on. Many believe the ghost is that of Louise Carpenter, the daughter of the library's founder. This site has three webcams, one in the research room, one in the children's room (pictured) and one in the basement. The site provides some screen captures that seem to have caught something unusual.

The Leprechaun Watch

The Lebrechaun Watch

Not in the mood to capture a ghost on your computer? How about a leprechaun? The Leprechaun Watch webcam is set up is a hidden location in a field somewhere in Ireland, straddling the border of a "fairy ring" and the Coogan's ancestral farm. They're hoping a leprechaun will go strolling by in front of the camera - and you could be watching when he does. "The fairy tree is the last link the Fair Folk have to the larger range they once enjoyed when they ruled the land - their anger at this loss is understandable," the website says. "We are monitoring the area in front of the oak because of leprechaun activity there in recent weeks and months."

Abandoned Hospital Web Cam

There's not a lot of information about this abandoned hospital on the site, but it seems to be somewhere in or near Oklahoma City. It's also unclear if these webcams are really refreshing or not as some of the images with people in them seem to be static. But they say there are ghosts here....

Knickerbocker Hotel

Strange things are said to go on at the Knickerbocker Hotel, located in Linesville, Pennsylvania. Visitors have reported hearing voices, seeing things move, or just having a very weird feeling in the place. Formerly known as The Arlington, the hotel was purchased in 2005 by Peg and Myrtle Knickerbocker. According to their website, "Peg is sensitive to 'higher vibrations'; just having her present seems to stimulate activity." Various ghost hunting groups have investigated the hotel and have come up with EVP. This site offers several cameras that you can watch for ghostly activity.

The cameras for this investigation group aren't always on, but they turn them on for investigations, allowing you to tag along and watch what might happen. You'll have to keep track of their website to find out when the investigations are going to take place. (You'll have to register, too.)

Lincoln Webcam

The ghost of an "Ice-Cream Lady" is said to haunt this old theatre in Lincolnshire, U.K. The webcam is perched up in the roof of the building, and several people say they have seen images of ghosts on the captured video. "There are other websites I have watched and none of them have as many ghosts as you have in your roof - there is a lot of activity up there," says on ghost watcher from Scotland. You can see some captured images here.

Ordsall Hall GhostCam

"Are you brave enough to watch the GhostCam?" challenges this website. Actually, they have two cameras set up: one in th Great Hall and one in the Star Chamber. The White Lady is the famous ghost that is said to haunt the area around her portrait, and the spirit of a young woman has been seen on the stairs. And this may be the only way to see the magnificent Ordsall Hall for awhile, since it is closed to the public for restoration.

The six views seen on this page are, they say, from six webcams set up in a 100+-year-old Victorian house. It's difficult to tell, however, if these really are live webcams, as the site claims, or if they are just photographs. There's not much more information than that, so it's up to you how much time you want to spend possibly staring at a static photograph hoping to see an apparition.
